If you’ve come this far, you are likely seeking help to make changes in your life and the life of your family. 

Patients in my practice are often dealing with some sort of impasse. Depression, anxiety, grief, difficulty in interpersonal relationships, creative blocks, and inability to find some sort of meaning in life are often present. Being stuck in roles that have long outlived their usefulness is another difficult dynamic patients explore.

Midlife is a particularly fruitful time in the lifecycle for depth work. Becoming conscious of one’s own suffering while both untangling and re-weaving together one’s past and present story within a trusting relationship is at the heart of the therapeutic process.

I see people at all stages of the life cycle, with a focus on Jungian Depth Psychotherapy.  Advanced study and professional work as a theatre artist and musician led me to ongoing training and certifications to incorporate expressive arts and sandplay into the work. I am attuned to symbols, images, and dreams as important to the therapy process. My specialization with children & adolescents also serves my adult clients, who bring unique life stories, history & development to their analysis. Patients are seen in my San Anselmo, California office and on-line, depending on what works best. Children are seen in person, in the office.

Since 1987 I have worked in and studied the field of psychology. I present nationally and internationally on topics related to Jungian psychotherapy, sandplay, and integration of the arts in therapy. Some of my articles on these topics have been published in book chapters and professional journals. I also provide consultation to psychotherapists and other allied professionals.

I am a Jungian Analyst affiliated with the C.G. Jung Institute of San Francisco (CGJISF), the Interregional Society of Jungian Analysts (IRSJA), and a certified clinical teaching member of the International Society for Sandplay Therapy/Sandplay Therapists of America (STA/ISST).

It is deeply rewarding to witness and play a part in helping clients achieve more fulfilling lives. Patients tell me that they respond in particular to my warmth, humor, understanding, and willingness to ask hard questions to help them experience and move through painful feelings and life challenges.
